ILLW headed for another success

The registrations for the International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend
are coming in a late rush, with 460 site so far ready for portable activity
in the annual big fun event held this weekend.

Whether you are in Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania or the Americas, there
will be plenty of action with 40 seafaring countries involved to honour
this old form of maritime navigation.

The latest registrations include those from Australia, Bulgaria, Canary
Islands, Estonia, Iceland, Isle of Man, Sri Lanka, and Switzerland - that
will use the unique callsign of HB9ILLW.

Germany has 70 registrations followed closely by Australia and the USA both
on 65, and England with 42.
