Amateurs designed secret radios

The Times Sept 27 reports the special wireless sets used in the secret
WWII *Super
Zero* station bunkers were designed by amateurs in the Royal Signals

The Super Zero bunkers were designed to be used by British resistance
forces in the event of a Nazi invasion.

The newspaper says the wireless sets were destroyed to keep secret their
“privacy technology†and no records survive. The story itself is behind a
paywall but a picture and introduction are on public display, see
