Price of 70cm handhelds falls

The cost of 430 MHz FM handhelds seems to be falling, with one 5 watt
transceiver available for under £8

The *Baofeng/Pofung BF-888S* 400-470 MHz handheld is being sold on ebay by
one retailer for just £7:99. The rig is limited to just 16 channels within
that frequency range but at that price it would seem to offer great scope
for experimentation on 430 MHz.
