The portable activity just keeps on growing

The *Keith Roget National Parks Award* activation period in November will
see portable operations in at least 23 Victorian National Parks.

Strategically placed around Victoria with VK5 operators in western parks
it should be easy to make contact.

The Awards Manager Tony Hambling VK3VTH thanks those already registered
making this year look like being the best yet.

Although National Parks have been already chosen, keep in mind multiple
activations are encouraged to meet the different requirements and
propagation.

Don’t forget to either register a National Park or get ready to work those
who head for them, on the weekend of November the 14th to the 17th.

The National Parks registered are Alfred, Barmah, Brisbane Ranges,
Burrowa-Pine Mountain, Chiltern-Mt Pilot, Cobboboonee, Coopracambra,
Errinundra, Grampians, Hattah-Kulkyne, Kara Kara, Lind, Lower Glenelg,
Lower Goulburn, Mornington Peninsula, Morwell, Mt. Buffalo, Mt. Eccles,
Mt. Richmond, Point Nepean, Terrick Terrick, Warby-Ovens and Wilsons
Promontory.

And anyone can enjoy the Radio/Great Outdoors mix.

In recent years there has been a trend towards many more women enjoying
Amateur Radio and along with that, couples are increasing found sharing the
airwaves portable.

The latest are Amanda VK3FQSO and Bob Bauer VK3FLAK, activating
Terrick Terrick and Kara Kara, as part of the Keith Roget Memorial National
Parks Award.

They're good friends with Julie VK3FOWL and Joe Gonzales VK3YSP who will be
trekking to the Wilsons Promontory National Park.

Although National Parks have been already chosen, keep in mind multiple
activations are encouraged to meet the different requirements and
propagation.

Please listen for them on three days of November the 14th to the 17th.
