As a result of representation from the national society URE Spain has
gained an extension of the use of several 5 MHz frequencies. Due to
expire at the end of June 2014 permission has now been granted to use
5268, 5295, 5313, 5382, 5430 and 5439 kHz until 30th November 2015
with a power of 100W PEP. Frequencies are thought to be USB dial
frequencies.
The Andorran Society URA reports that permission has been granted the
use of 5275-5450 kHz until a decision is made at WRC-15. Permitted
power is 100W PEP using CW and SSB with transmission bandwidths not to
exceed 3 kHz.
Portugal now has the use of a channel at 5380.5 kHz in addition to
those at 5288.5, 5371.5 and 5403.5 kHz. This is thought to align
with the Spanish channel listed as 5382 kHz.
Member Societies are asked to notify either PB2T or G3PSM of any
developments concerning 5 MHz.
