BBC World Service to cut back Shortwave

The Guardian newspaper report the BBC will reduce its shortwave
transmissions next year

They say the the money saved will be spent on TV and digital services.

>From April 1, 2014 the BBC World Service and BBC Monitoring will be
funded directly from the TV licence fee instead of receiving funding
from the Foreign Office.
