By determination of 27 May 2009, ANACOM approved, following a hearing
of interested parties, the procedures provided for in Decree-Law no.
53/2009, of 2 March (rules that apply to amateur services and
amateur-satellite services).
Where an foreign amateur establishes communications under a CEPT
license of class 1 in Portugal, in addition to compliance with the
provision in the preceding paragraph, he/she shall also transmit its
amateur station Call Sign with the following leading prefixes:
a) “CT7” where the operation takes place in an amateur station located
in the POR (Portugal) geographical area;
b) “CT8” where the operation takes place in an amateur station located
in the AZR (Azores) geographical area;
c) “CT9” where the operation takes place in an amateur station located
in the MDR (Madeira) geographical area.

Your Call Sign use before or national call in visit, is CT7 in
Portugal, CT8 to Azores and CT9 to Madeira (examples with RM0F, call
sign of class 1 with CEPT license):
CT7/RM0F/M - In Mobile
CT7/RM0F/P - In Portable
CS7, 8 and 9 is to foreign amateur establishes communications under a
CEPT license class 2 or Novice Class and CR7, 8 and 9 is only to
countries outside CEPT with reciprocity agreement of Portugal (only
Brazil)
