7 inch Windows 8.1 tablets are now available for less than £80, Essex
Ham looks at potential amateur radio applications

Essex Ham says the Linx is a very cheap, and very capable tablet that
runs the full Windows 8.1 operating system – this means that you can
run your favourite ham radio applications on a low-price tablet device
in the field. This opens the potential for PSK31, JT65, WSPR data
modes, as well as PC logging apps, SDRs and all sorts.
