Last-minute Santa Claus news
The team at *OF9X* is pushing hard in their year-end Christmas activity,
and will hopefully pass the 20,000 QSO mark soon. A large number of
children seized the opportunity to say hello to Santa on Amateur Radio
which brought cheer to their Christmas and made Grandpa a proud
facilitator.
The activity will continue until the end of 2014 and you still have another
opportunity to catch the 2014 Santa spirit.
Santa himself at OH9SCL has returned from his world tour and tonight he
will hit the bands to run in parallel with OF9X for the closing days of
2014. You need to work both stations - OH9SCL and OF9X - to qualify for a
'2014 Santa Claus World Vision Certificate'.
Once you have done that, please notify the Santa Desk at of9x sral.fi.
The underlying objective of the OF9X project is to raise money for Albanian
children in need through World Vision. The project has been a great success
and its aim is to establish a dedicated school with the help of DXers
supporting this worthy cause. You can still join the project:
