Guantanamo Cuba emergency net has ended

Prof. Arnaldo Coro Antich CO2KK, Emergency Coordinator IARU Region II
Area C, provides an update on the Guantanamo FRC emergency net

This is to report to IARU Region II executives that the Guantanamo FRC
7115 kHz emergency net that came into operation in response to the
effects of extremely heavy rainfall over the area since late December
11, and peaking December 12, has now ended at 2000 UTC December 13
when it was no longer necessary to provide communications links for
traffic between Baracoa City and the Guantanamo provincial capital.

We want to thank all radio amateurs in Region II that helped to keep
the frequency as clear as possible, making the emergency traffic flow
at a reliable and faster rate.
