Ready to sign-up for JOTA-JOTI?

The moment we have been waiting for is here, the new
scout.org<http://worldscouting.createsend5.com/t/j-l-tdkkjiy-hhjrblil-f/>is
now online. You can join the platform, create a profile, and publish
your updates and results from your challenges. This year it will be easier
than ever to participate in JOTA-JOTI.

How to take part in JOTA?

First contact a local amateur radio operator, or amateur radio club and ask
for help. Radio amateurs are enthusiastic about their hobby and most of
them will be willing to help you participate in JOTA.
Most Scout Associations have appointed a National JOTA Organizer
(NJO)<http://worldscouting.createsend5.com/t/j-l-tdkkjiy-hhjrblil-z/>who
can bring you into contact with a radio amateur. Otherwise the
national
amateur radio organization in your country will be able to give you the
name and address of a radio amateur in your area. See also the address list
of Amateur Radio
Organisations<http://worldscouting.createsend5.com/t/j-l-tdkkjiy-hhjrblil-v/>
.
The radio operator may suggest that the Scouts visit his station during
JOTA, or that he brings his equipment to your local headquarters, or
campsite. Often JOTA radio stations have been set up in unusual locations
such as at the top of a mountain or on a boat.

Challenge activities: prepare your team to compete

This year there will be a lot of activities and challenges to accomplish
during JOTA-JOTI. You can find them now on the Facebook
page<http://worldscouting.createsend5.com/t/j-l-tdkkjiy-hhjrblil-e/>in
different languages, or or during the weekend on a place called LAB on
scout.org.. You will be able to post your results and compete to win a
prize. With 9 featured challenges and 20 other challenges, you are in for a
very exciting JOTA-JOTI weekend.

Global Torch Race: let’s start!

The Global Torch Race is about creating the fastest-growing gathering of
Scouts globally. There will be approximately 107 teams competing to win the
race. Each team has a team leader, who has given his/her team a name. The
task of the team leader is to be the first person in the team to invite and
recruit other Scouts from around the world to join this team. Each Global
Torch Race team needs to recruit Scouts from as many countries as possible
during the 48 hours of JOTA-JOTI. Everyone in a team can invite other
Scouts to join. So call your Scout friends, find them on your social media
networks and invite them to join your team. The winning team is the one who
spreads their Torch to most countries.
The winners will be announced after the JOTA-JOTI event and will receive a
special prize for their global effort. More information soon in our Facebook
page <http://worldscouting.createsend5.com/t/j-l-tdkkjiy-hhjrblil-s/>.
