ARLA/CLUSTER: Ativação da Ilha de São Miguel nos Açores por estações holandesas

Sao Miguel Island

>From 26 March to 3 April 2013, Frank PA4N and Dervin PD9DX will be active from Sao Miguel Island ( EU-003) on the Azores, as CT8/PA4N and CS8/PD9DX. We will be active on all HF bands, in SSB and CW.

Dervin participates also in the CQ WPX SSB Contest,on 30 and 31 March,

Rigs will be a Kenwood TS590 and an Elecraft K3. Power will be 100W for both radios. Antennas will consist of a multiband doublet (inverted vee-style), a multiband vertical and an FD4 off-center fed antenna.

As we will be on the west side of the Sete Cidades volcanic mountain, propagation to the Americas will be much easier than propagation to Europa and Asia.
