German Ham Radio licenses continue decline

The Deutscher Amateur Radio Club (DARC) reports that the total number of amateur radio licenses fell again in 2012.

The license totals were:
2012 - 70,446
2011 - 71,659
2010 - 72,293

The totals include all types of amateur radio licenses such as club stations, repeaters, beacons etc.

The number of amateur radio exams also fell. In 2012 there were 55 exams compared with 62 in 2011.
