Reception of Ham Radio APRS via the ISS
Robert Broughton M6GLD has made this video showing reception of amateur radio APRS signals from the International Space Station

The YouTube description reads:

Amateur packet data is received and decoded from the ISS. The data signals are readily received by anyone with a two meter receiver that can tune in fine steps 5khz+/- of 145.825 Mhz. The closest slant range to the ISS at zenith was around 1,350 miles (line of sight).
I use Heavens Above (http://www.heavens-above.com/) to calculate passes for my location.

Data is decoded using free online software that utitilises my soundcard - simply connect received audio to your line-in. A spectrum plotter is not required but looks interesting, allowing you to visually see the received data.

If using a simple whip or vertical antenna, only expect good decodes for strong signals where the ISS is above 60 degrees of your horizon. In built up areas try and get your antenna as high as possible and with clear lines of sight out to the horizon.

Packet data is sent in a second or so whilst decodes take several to scroll across the screen, decoded text therefore is not synchronised with the audio.
