US astronauts on twitter

US astronaut and current international space station crew member Ron Garan KF5GPO was heard on 145.800 in a school contact on Tuesday 10th May. He is a NASA flight engineer on Expedition 27 and uses Twitter from the ISS and posts excellent quality pictures of the planet Earth for all to see.

On Monday 16th May, if all goes well, space shuttle Endeavour STS134 blasts off with Expedition 28 and astronaut Mike Fincke KE5AIT on his return to the orbiting complex. 

I had the privilege to work him in 2009 on the ISS and so hope he will be as active as he was before.
