Summits on the Air passes one millionth QSO mark 

SOTA (Summits on the Air) recently passed a significant milestone with it's millionth QSO being made over the UK holiday period. 

SOTA started in 2002 and has now grown into a worldwide award scheme with 55 associations across the world and around 44,000 qualifying summits.

Growth in the USA in particular has been rapid and, with improving HF conditions, summit-to-summit contacts between continents are becoming far more common.
