ARLA/CLUSTER: Tecnologia TDMA para as bandas de amador?

Caro João e restantes colegas,

O TDMA era utilizado nos satélites de comunicações da Eutelsat à mais de 20
anos(desde 1985), e foi criado para utilizar a potência máxima de cada
"transponder" do satélite sem o problema da intermodulação entre portadoras,
o que provocava muitos problemas no velho FDMA. No TDMA, como só está uma
portadora no ar de cada vez, nunca há intermodulação. Claro que os vários
países europeus tinham de transmitir os seus "bursts" muito bem
sincronizados, por um relógio atómico que transmitia um "beacon"
directamente do satélite. Consoante a distância de cada Estação ao
satélite(geoestacionário, claro), era introduzido um factor de correcção
temporal de modo a que não houvessem sobreposições de "burts"(ou salvas, em
português), dos vários países. A ideia era transmitir milhares da canais
telefónicos simultâneos, mas o sistema foi abandonado alguns anos mais
tarde, devido a ser muito crítico e por consequência, extremamente caro...

Porque é que estou aqui com toda esta explicação?

É porque não estou a ver a aplicação deste sistema aos amadores... como é
que vão sincronizar, ao microsegundo, as várias estações ? E para quê ? Para
utilizarem 6 amadores o mesmo canal em simultâneo ?

As bandas, como sabemos estão às moscas... não há falta de canais, então
qual o interesse?

Se fosse um sistema novo, ainda compreendia o factor experimental, mas já
está testado e abandonado...

Talvez haja de facto algum interesse, que me esteja a escapar, se alguém
souber, gostaria de saber.
