Radio Ham's invention seeing wide use
In 1987/1988, Chip (now) W1YW created the first fractal antennas, for 2M packet use. Heading into 25 years since, this ham radio invented technology is now seeing wide acceptance.
In the broadcast arena, this new fractal antenna design described in the link shows ham innovation taking off and solving tough problems.
The size is that of a small pizza box.
Today, W1YW can often be found DXing with his tree-hidden MF/HF fractal antennas of various designs.
