1. SPONSOR:

2. PERIOD OF CONTEST OPERATION:
UTC 00:00 June 19, 2010 (Sat.) to 24:00 June 27, 2010 (Sun.)
3. CONTEST ENTRY QUALIFICATION:
Any ham radio station worldwide operating D-STAR equipment
The use of the following technologies for contest QSO's will not be
valid for this contest.
D-PLUS, DV Dongle, HotSpot, Digital/Analog Gateways, DV Adapters and
similar third party D-STAR equipment/applications.
4. BANDS AND MODES:
144, 430(440) and 1200MHz bands, DV mode
5. ENTRY CATEGORIES

Note:
Multiple entry to different categories is allowed (e.g. entry to WR and WS)
JR/JS categories are allowed to entry for Japanese Domestic Stations only.
6. METHOD OF OPERATION:
a) *Call "CQ D-STAR contest"*
b) *Exchange the contest number*
*For Standard Stations:*
The Contest number is [RS type signal report] + [The first year you were
licensed (4-digits)]
(E.g.: 59 1952, 59 1978, 59 1999, 59 2001, 59 2009, etc.)
*For Bonus Stations:*
The Contest number is [RS type signal report] + [The first year you were
licensed (4-digits)] + [B]
(E.g.: 59 1952B, 59 1978B, 59 1999B, 59 2001B, 59 2009B, etc.)
Even if your call sign has changed or there have been periods when your
license may have been invalid, please send the year you were first
licensed.
7. SCORING AND MULTIPLIERS:
(1) *Scoring*
The following scoring will be applied to QSO's with a complete signal
report exchange.
Contacts between stations in the same entity : 1 point.
Contacts between stations in different entities : 2 points.
Contacts with the following stations (Contest sponsor related stations):
3 points.
(We are now arranging Icom related overseas club stations, and will
inform these call signs soon)
In the WS category, contacts between the same stations in different
bands are eligible.
(In the WR category, contacts between the same stations in different
bands are invalid.)
Please log the working frequency (kHz unit) for each contact.
In the WR category, please log your uplink frequency.
(E.g.: 144.76MHz should be written as 144760)
(2) *Multipliers*
The number of valid ARRL DXCC entities worked. (Including your own entity)
The same entity in different bands will be counted only at once.
(3) *Final score= (QSO points) x (Multipliers)*
E.g.: 100 points and 5 multipliers would give you a final score of 500
points.
8. PROHIBITED ACTIONS:
(1) Operators should not transmit 2 or more signals simultaneously
(Either in the same band or different bands)
(2) Violation of amateur radio regulations in the country of the
contester, or the rules of the contest; Unsportsmanlike conduct
9. CAUTIONS:
(1) Please consider other users who are not participating in the
contest in the use of a local D-Star repeater.
(2) During the contest, contesters are allowed to move within their own
entity.
10. DISQUALIFICATION:
(1) If it is found that obvious faking of log results during the
screening process.
(2) Violation of the contest rules.
11. REPORTING:
(1) *LOGS*
Make electronic logs using the CABRILLO file format and upload to the
URL in (4) below. The logs' file name should be "Your callsign".log.
(E.g.: JA3YUA.log)
Ver.2 or Ver.3 CABRILLO file format will be accepted, but please fill in
the following fields and Claimed Score completely.

12. WINNERS PRESENTATION:
We will announce the result of this contest at the Icom booth at the
Tokyo Ham Fair 2010 and Icom web site on August 21, 2010.
13. AWARDS:
Certifications will be sent to the top 10 stations or within the top 20%
of participating stations in each category.
E.g.: When the participating stations are less than 5 stations for a
certain category, the top station will be given the award.
14. PRIZE DRAW:
Winners will be selected from all of the participating stations
(excluding any disqualified stations) in a draw, and they will receive
either an IC-80AD or an ID-880H* (For a total of 8 prize winners).
* The model name may vary according to the model name used in the prize
winner's country.
