Even more lighthouses for the weekend

The International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend this Saturday and Sunday sees Australia and Germany equal top in terms of registrations with 58 each.

The USA is not far behind with 54, followed by England on 40, It's not too late to visit the website ILLW.NET to register more lighthouses.

There are some 430 registrations in some 40 countries setting the scene for a great weekend.

Romania is one of the new countries this year with its first being YO4AUL the Constanta lighthouse registered by YO4AUL. And newcomer to the event Taiwan has two - BV1EJ activating Kaohsiung Lighthouse and BV2DQ from Tao Yuan Lighthouse.

Those who can't go portable and operate from a lighthouse or lightship this weekend can still lend their support for the fun event by listening around the bands and working as many as possible.

The online registration details at ILLW.NET<http://www.illw.net/> is an excellent guide and checklist.
