Beta of SDR-RADIO

After eight months of hard coding the first beta of the SDR-RADIO console is now available.

New features on SDR-RADIO:

SoftRock VFO support (Si570)

Waterfall colours redesigned together with Pieter from RFspace

Added AF Spectrum, use this window to adjust the filter width and view the AF signal

Added Graphics Equaliser

Added Pseudo Stereo

New DSP engine with better filtering

Code optimised to lower the CPU demand (using the Intel® VTune(tm) Performance Analyzer software)

On the DigitalRadio Yahoo group the author of SDR-RADIO Simon Brown HB9DRV writes:

An advantage of writing my own console is I don't have to wait in the hope that other developers add features I would like to see.

Before the end of May I'll be decoding digital modes inside my console and will be able to put the filter right after the mixer (and decimator). So for a PSK31 signal I'll be able to use a 60Hz filter with *very* steep skirts and have the optimum digital mode receiver.

After this I'll integrate DM780 so that the console can be used for TRX with the MOBOKIT SoftRock derivative.
