Interference from Gigabit Mains Ethernet adaptors

A posting on the *UKQRM* list has raised concerns about *interference from
Gigabit mains Ethernet adaptors to the VHF Amateur and Amateur Satellite
service allocations*.

*The Belkin 'Gigabit' Powerline transmits a broadband signal down the
household mains that extends from 50-300 MHz*.

The report on UKQRM indicated that it may not have any notching enabled in
key parts of the spectrum such as 50-54, 70.0-70.5, 144-148 MHz and the US
222-225 MHz band and could result in significant interference to the Amateur
and Amateur Satellite services.

The UKQRM group is opposed to power line adaptors that cause harmful
