Article 19 says:

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

In this respect the deliberate or otherwise jamming of world band radio (shortwave) and amateur transmissions is in direct conflict with this act!
Survey of UK Short Wave Listeners

The UKQRM group are running a quick survey of UK Shortwave listeners in connection with the campaign against Power Line Telecommunications (PLT) home networking products.

Unless effective action is taken the shortwave broadcast bands could become unusable in urban areas of the UK.
