Countdown to broadcast stations leaving 7 MHz.
At the end of March,  a portion of the 40-metre band from 7100 to 7200kHz becomes exclusive to the Amateur Radio Service.
Whether all the broadcasters will remove themselves remains to be seen. However, American radio amateurs are being heard in this sub-band as late as 1000 hours UTC in the North of the UK.
For those interested in monitoring the parts of the Earth in daylight and darkness, a freeware program called Geoclock may be found via Google or other search engines
