Called 'Echoes of Apollo', various activities are planned in July, for what the organisers describe as a 'Global Amateur Radio event'.

A number of historic sites in Australia and other countries will take part in this Echoes of Apollo event. HF radio stations will be set up near sites that took part in the original support for the Apollo 11 mission.

In Australia, most of these will have special call signs similar to those used by NASA in the original missions. Many of these sites will be staffed by people that took part in the original Apollo 11 mission as communications specialists.

The HF event is planned for the weekend and the Monday of 18-20th July
