Caros Colegas,

Basicamente esta licença proposta pela CEPT destina-se aos jovens adolescentes menores de idade, aos idosos ou reformados com interesse pelas radiocomunicações e para todos aqueles que não tenham conhecimentos base para se sujeitarem a um exame mais exigente, de possuírem uma licença nacional e internacional para poderem operar nos países signatários da CEPT.

Resumidamente e no quadro legislativo do Serviço de Amador português equivaleria aos actuais "CT2" terem acesso a uma licença CEPT especifica, da actual única classe.

No entanto, a proposta de 3 níveis de licenciamento equivalentes CEPT(HAREC, Novice e Entry-Class) discutida em 2006 aproxima-se do proposto por este organismo com alterações na caracterização dos grupos a que se destinam.

CEPT Novice Amateur Radio Licence

The CEPT Novice Amateur Radio licence is now recognised by many European countries and CEPT Novice holders may also operate in the United States.

The CEPT Novice Licence, ECC/REC 05-06, has been implemented by Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Netherlands and Switzerland.

Note: Although the UK Intermediate licence is equivalent to the CEPT Novice, the United Kingdom has not signed up to the CEPT agreement.
