New release (4.11) of MULTIPSK
Pour les francophones: la version française de ce message se trouve
sur mon site (http://f6cte.free.fr). Il suffit de cliquer sur le lien

nouvelle version)".
Hello to all Ham and SWL,
The new release of MultiPSK (4.11) and Multidem (2.2.1) are on my Web
site (http://f6cte.free.fr).
The main mirror site is Earl's, N8KBR:
http://www.eqth.info/multipsk/index.html (click on "United States
Download Site").
Another mirror site isTerry's: http://www.hamshack.co.uk/
Multispk associated to Clock are freeware programs but with functions
submitted to a licence (by user key).
The Multidem 2.2.1 version (SSB/CW/digital modulator/demodulator for
DSB and SdR transceivers) fixes several bugs.
The main modifications of MULTIPSK 4.11
are the following:
1) Decoding of SELCAL
The SELCAL is an automatic recognition system of a plane, for those
crossing oceans (specification: Aircraft Selective Call - ICAO
Annex10). It is a four letter code (for example: "AJFQ") identifying
the plane. It is used in HF on top of phone communications between
pilots and control base.
See specifications further on.
Examples of frequencies used:
North Atlantic and Artic: 4675, 8891, 13291 KHz,
North Atlantic: 3016, 5598, 5616, 5649, 8825, 8864, 11279 KHz,
North Pacific: 5628, 10048, 11330 KHz
This decoding a function submitted to a licence.
2) In ALE/ALE400, addition of an ARQ FAE beacon.
With this function, a message (45 characters maximum) is sent
regularly (with an interval of time defined by the user), to other
Hams. It will be received, for example, the following frame:
"BCN F6CTE Hello! PSE answer with the <Selective call>"
Refer to the "The_ARQ_FAE_beacon_easy_with_Multipsk.doc" paper
available on my WEB site, to use this function easily.
3) KISS mode proposed for Packet and for PAX/PAX2
Moreover, from UIVIEW, it is now possible to send and receive APRS
positions through an internal protocol transformation (PAX to/from
PACKET) for UI frames. PAX mode being a sensitive mode, from now on,
APRS frames can be sent at long distance, with UI-VIEW.
Refer to the "PAX APRS with UI-VIEW through Multipsk, easy" paper
available on my WEB site, to use this function easily.
4) Addition of an auxiliary sound card (to speaker)
Mainly for use by the blind Ham and SWL in JT65 and VOICE (to
pronunce
the decoded characters through this auxiliary sound card).
5) Possibility to work in a 48 KHz sound card sampling frequency
As all modern sound cards are 48 KHz included the "on-board" ones,
this option can permit to almost eliminate the need of correction
(however, an automatic 48KHz sampling speed determination is
proposed). Consequently, the program matches more closely to the
sound-card.
This option needs a bit more CPU load than the standard speed (11025
Hz) but much more if the data comes from a SdR. To set it in service,
start the option "Determination of the RX and TX sound card sampling
frequencies" of the menu "Adjustments".
6) Decoding of the PD290 SSTV mode (RX only),
7) The option (under licence) "Ring on reception of a UI or SABM
frame" (button "Options") permits to be warned by a half of a second
ring on reception of a UI (APRS position, for example) or SABM
(connection demand) frame in Packet, Pax and Pax2.
Note about translation of Multipsk.exe and Clock .exe
: the 4.10 version of Multipsk has been completly translated to
Spanish by Joachin (EA4ZB), from French. The translation file is on
my
Web site (http://f6cte.free.fr).

SELCAL
Description
Speed : 1 baud, the carriers duration being equal to 1 second,
Modulation : MFSK. Transmission of 2 different carriers during 1
second (+/-0.25) followed a silence of 0.2 second (+/-0.1) followed
by
the transmission of 2 different carriers during 1 second (+/-0.25).
The 4 carriers are different.
Receive mode: USB
Character set : 16 letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, P, Q,
R, S. Each frequency of carrier corresponds to a character (for
example 312.6 Hz for A and 1479.1 Hz for S)
Bandwidth : from 312.6 to 1479.1 Hz
Demodulation : non coherent. The tuning accuracy must be equal or
better to 10 Hz.
Lowest S/N : about - 4 dB
