CQ0DSA B is the call sign of the most recent D-STAR repeater radio
station in Portugal.

Located in " Serra da Arrábida ", few kms South of Lisboa – capital
city of Portugal, this device is simply on trial phase for the
moment.

The entire project as well as the official operational licence goes
to A.R.L.A. ( " Associação de Radioamadores do Litoral
Alentejano " ).

Carlos Mourato, CT4RK, Vice-President of ARLA has written in
ARLA/CLUSTER mailing List in last Saturday, 24 of April:

" This regional ham radio association would like also to take the
chance for expressing public gratitude, appreciation and
recognition, regarding all those colleagues who helped on the
accomplishment of such remarkable ambition, in particular a few
voluntary contributions from non associates.

Thank you very much indeed by your support.

In fact, this assignment was only possible thanks to a small group
of around 30 altruistic financial contributors, all dedicated to
pursuit the intended goal right until the end.

With such open-handedness and an impeccable working task force, it's
easy to declare that every club and association ought to have
valuable people like our colleague fellows.

According with the plan, a gateway connection is ready and will be
accessible soon. The preliminary works of this first intervention
had in mind a simple start of the repeater on its basic, but full
functional, features.

With this job, the team involved did also perform some deep
alterations on the site original setting up, including a brand new 2
metres high rack to receive inside all the equipments, including the
two other analogical repeater stations working previously there, as
well as other support devices, like power suppliers and so on. Even
with a lot of work to get nearer, this latest rack arrangement gives
already an impressive "professional look " to A.R.L.A.'s " toys ".

Obviously time is never enough and, as usual with amateur setting
up's, a few unpredictable " Murphy's law " events had a say in order
to postpone some important efforts for the next visit.

In roughly 15 days from now, by the time of next mission, the team
responsible for this task hopes to fulfil the required concluding
works, which includes the above mentioned activation of the D-STAR
repeater gateway. "
