Award Football World Cup in Germany 2006
Short-term award from May 1st until July 31st, 2006

The Deutsche Amateur Radio Club e.V. (DARC) is sponsoring this award to
celebrate the Football (Soccer) World Cup 2006. Both licensed amateur radio
operators and short wave listeners (SWL's) can apply for this reward.
In the period beginning May 13th, 2006 and ending July 16th, 2006, 26
special district stations (DQ2006A to DQ2006Z) and 12 special stadium
stations (DR2006B, DR2006C, etc.) with the special DOK "WFC06" will be on
the air.
Participants may apply for three awards (Bronze, Silver & Gold). To achieve
one of these awards, you log the appropriate number of Germany stations in
the time frame May 1st to July 31st, 2006. There are no band limitations.
You may use any mode of operation except Packet Radio and Echo Link.

Award application fee:
· 5 Euro for EU stations
· 10$ or 10 Euro for non-EU stations
To apply for this award, please send a copy of your log book along with the
appropriate application fee to:

The award certificate is 210 x 297mm (about 8¼" x 11¾") in size and is
printed in multiple colours on 120 gram, wood-free paper. Awards will be
recognized at the general members gathering in September, 2005.
